PURPOSE:To reduce the axial thickness of a stepping motor and to increase the output by substantially splitting the pole of a stator core near the end, isolating the split poles, and oppositing the teeth of the isolated poles to the teeth of the pole or a rotor. CONSTITUTION:The pole of a stator core 1 made of a yoke, a pole and teeth is split near the end, and axially isolated. The teeth of the poles of the isolated group are opposed through the teeth of two poles 8 of the rotor and an air gap. The rotor is composed of a permanent magnet 10 interposed between the poles.
