PURPOSE:To collect the lead wires of tapped coils, and to check enlargement of the tank and the main body of a tapped auto-transformer by a method wherein cylindrical windings of two layers wound putting side by side and connected the tapped windings at the top part or the under part, or multihelical windings are constructed. CONSTITUTION:The windings of a tapped auto-transformer are wound in the order of tapped windings 3, a shunt winding 2 and a series winding 1 on the outside of a core leg 4. The windings 3 are consisting of tapped windings 3A, 3B of two layers, connected in series on the winding end 22 side of the neutral point side of the shunt winding 2, and tapped lead wires 31, 32 are led out together from the winding start 21 side of the shunt winding 2. When the tapped auto-transformer is constructed in such the construction, because insulation between the shunt winding 2 and the series winding 1 is hardly necessitated, insulation structure of the tapped lead wires themselves is simplified, and at the same time, construction of the tapped lead wires can be attained easily. Accordingly, the tapped auto-transformer of low cost can be obtained. |
