发明名称 THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance dynaimic developed color density and contrive to enhance a head matching property, by a method wherein the particle diameter of particulates of a hydrophobic high polymer contained in an undercoat layer is set to be not larger than those of materials constituting a thermal color forming layer, and the surface roughness of the undercoat layer is specified. CONSTITUTION:The undercoat layer provided on a base is constituted of a dispersed material of particulates of a hydrophobic high polymer, and the surface roughness Rz thereof is adjusted to be not higher than 5.0mum. The particle diameter of the particulates of the polymer is set to be not larger than those of the materials constituting the thermal color forming layer. By this, when applying a coating material for the thermal color forming layer to the undercoat layer, a leuco dye and a color developer as the materials constituting the thermal color forming layer are filtered onto the undercoat layer, whereby a uniform thermal color forming layer can be formed. Accordingly, a thermal recording material high in heat sensitivity and excellent in a uniform color forming property and a head matching property can be obtained.
