PURPOSE:To improve a display quality by generating a parallel light by a filter, making it incident to a liquid crystal panel, and condensing a light into a color filter by a filter of the surface. CONSTITUTION:A filter 411 for converting a light from a back light 412 to a parallel light 413 and making it incident to a panel is provided on the back face of a liquid crystal panel, and a filter 410 for condensing a light passing through the liquid crystal panel onto a color filter 49 is installed on the front of the panel. A light 56 passing through a liquid crystal layer 51 is condensed by a filter 52 and forms a focus in a color filter 53. A light 65 emitted from a fluorescent lamp 63 is reflected by a reflecting surface 64, becomes a roughly parallel light 62 and is reflected upward. By generating this parallel light, no light is made incident to an adjacent color even if a distance between a liquid crystal layer and a color filter is separated, a bright color can be reproduced. According to this constitution, a visual angle characteristic of the panel becomes satisfactory, and also a burden is not imposed on an assembly process of the panel, therefore, a display device which is low in its cost can be manufactured. |
