A method and an apparatus for inspection of an objective lens driving apparatus are provided to ensure smooth movement of the main unit of the actuator in the objective lens driving apparatus by detecting the inflow of adhesive foreign materials. A method for inspection of an objective lens driving apparatus is as follows. Laser beam is emitted through an objective lens. The laser beam passes through an aperture(142) of specific diameter. Driving voltage for moving a first position and a second position is applied to a driving mechanism, wherein a holder is closest to the side of a base in the first location. The laser beam passing through the aperture is photoelectric-converted into signal. The objective lens driving apparatus is inspected based on the output signal.
