PURPOSE:To obtain a receiver which receives an emergency warning broadcast as a voice by actuating an amplifier when a broadcast radio wave is demodulated to detect an emergency warning start signal, regenerating a warning voice which is sent subseqently through a loudspeaker, and returning to a normal state by an end signal. CONSTITUTION:The broadcast radio wave from an antenna 1 is supplied to a tuner 2 which includes a tuning circuit and a signal of the voice band is obtained by a demodulating circuit 3. A signal from the circuit 3 is supplied to a decoder 9 and an amplifying circuit 7. The circuit 7 is normally not in operation, and the decoder 9 when decoding the emergency warning start code supplies a control signal to the circuit 7 to activate the circuit 7 and supplies the warning voice which is broadcasted subsequently to the loudspeaker 8 through the circuit 7. A decoder 6, on the other hand, returns to its original reception state when detecting the warning end code. There are a nationwide general braodcasting code and an area section code as the warning state code, and the area section code is set by a setter 10 and displayed on a display device 11. The power source obtained by rectifying 17 a commercial AC power source 16, batteries 21, and a car battery 22 are switched with a switch 18. |
