An exhaust gas purification device for internal combustion engine is provided to secure a large contact area between the oxygen occluding member and the oxygen ion conductive member, thereby supplying oxygen from the oxygen occluding member to the oxygen ion conductive member efficiently. An exhaust gas purification device for internal combustion engine includes a carrier filter collecting particulate matters in the exhaust gas, and an oxidation catalyst(4) dipped in the carrier filter. The oxidation catalyst includes an oxygen occluding member(5) of particle shape, and an oxygen ion conductive member(6) of film shape in surface contact with the oxygen occluding member.
