PURPOSE:To improve a sealing effect, and to enhance the efficiency of an engine by incorporating a piston connected to a sealing piece and a feedwater path for sealing water into the internal rotor in a positive-displacement type expansion engine. CONSTITUTION:The inside of an external rotor 2 is formed by a curved surface having the relationship of an envelope with an internal rotor 3 contouring a trochoid curve. A sealing piece 6 is mounted at the end edge of the rotor. Sealing water is fed to a feedwater path 7 by a feedwater pipe 9 mounted to a shaft 8. The feedwater path 7 is connected to a feedwater path 7', and a piston 10 is pushed. The sealing piece 6 is connected to the piston 10. Since sealing water in the feedwater path 7 generates hydraulic pressure by centrifugal force with the revolution of the rotor 3 to push the piston 10, the piston 10 pushes out the sealing piece 6 and a sealing is ensured. Accordingly, efficiency on the high revolution of an engine is improved extremely.
