PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment, by fitting a thermal head to a Y-axis pin capable of being rotated around an X-axis shaft in parallel with a platen roller so that the head ca be rotated and can be moved in the Y-axis direction. CONSTITUTION:A rotary part 62 is rotatably fitted to the X-axis shaft 61 parallel with the platen roller 40, and has the y-axis pin 62a located at a skew position relative to the X-axis shaft 61. A frame 63 is rotatably fitted to the pin 62a, and the thermal head 60 is slidably fitted to the frame 63. The relative positions of the axis of the platen roller 40 and a row of heating elements of the thermal head 60 are adjusted by a position-adjusting means. Pressing devices 65a-65d are provided between the thermal head 60 and a chassis so that they are symmetrical on the left and right sides with respect to the Y-axis pin 62a and that the pressing force of each thereof is directed to the axis of the platen roller 40. Accordingly, the position of the head 60 relative to the platen roller 40 can be easily adjusted by simply adjusting adjusting screws 64a, 64b. |
