PURPOSE:To reduce the size and power consumption of a measuring and storing device for potential frequency distribution by time by using the accumulated time of potential measurement results classified by a class ratio as a frequency and writing the time at every unit time. CONSTITUTION:A program from an ROM6 is written in an RAM5 with small power consumption through a CPU4 once a power source is turned on, and then power supply to the ROM65 is cut off. On the other hand, the set measurement time and comparison potentials for the class ratios from a keyboard 8 are stored in the RAM5. Then, the potential measurement result of a metallic structure, etc., in electrolytes classified by the class ratio after a corrosion treatment is supplied through an A/D comparator 3, and the CPU4 integrates the time of every class on the basis of said potential measurement result. The frequency corresponding to the time integration is determined by the CPU4 written in the RAM5 at intervals of one hour, and the time integrating counter is reset; and this operation is repeated until the set measurement time is elapsed. This measurement result is not stored as it is and the use time of the ROM is limited to reduce the size and power consumption of the measuring and storing device.
