PURPOSE:To shorten the access time to realize a stable retrieval operation by controlling the retrieval for recording and reproducing on a basis of address information in pregroup provided preliminarily on a disc. CONSTITUTION:A disc 1 is provided with plural information tracks, and each track is divided to eight sectors having address numbers and sector numbers. In case of the access to a track, a head 20 is moved by a linear motor 21, and the scanning state of the track is obtained by the operation of a tracking servo 12, and address and sector information of a current track are decoded, and a relative position to address and sector information of a target track is calculated by a controller 17, and track jump is performed in accordance with the calculated result, and the head 20 is brought to target address and sector address. Thereafter, a recording signal is inputted, and the light from a laser light 10 is modulated through a modulator 15 and a recording system 14, and the signal is recorded in a prescribed address of the disc 1. |
