PURPOSE:To uniformly coat a treating liquid, by such simple constitution that a coating treating liquid is formed into mist under a mesh belt moving while placing a glass container and this treating liquid mist is introduced above the belt. CONSTITUTION:Molded glass containers 1 are passed through a gradually cooling device while placed on a mesh belt 3. A plurality of spray guns 4a, 4b are opposedly arranged in almost parallel or upwardly inclined relation to the belt surface under the mesh belt 3 and a coating liquid is injected to form treating liquid mist. This treating liquid mist is guided above the belt 3 by the guide stream due to hot air B from a blow-out apparatus 8 to uniformly coat the outer surface of each glass container 1. Furthermore, in order to prevent the invasion of the treating liquid into the container 1, the treating liquid mist is removed into a suction duct 12 through an air stream barrier plate 14 by a forcible suction apparatus 15.
