PURPOSE:To obtain a switching circuit which is capable of making a high speed switching operation and a low power consumption being compatible by providing a voltage level converting circuit connected to an input terminal, and driving an off-buffer circuit of a totem pole output stage by its output. CONSTITUTION:100 is a voltage level converting circuit provided newly, and its input is connected to an input V1 of a switching circuit, and an output VB is connected to the base of a transistor (TR)Q4 for constituting an off-buffer circuit. This circuit is a complementary MOS level converting circuit, consists of a P MOSTR1D and an N MOSTR2D, its input/output transfer characteristic becomes as shown in the figure, and the output VB is varied sharply between a high level Vcc and a low level GND by making a threshold voltage VT a boundary. As for this circuit, in a stationary state, one of a P MOSTR10 and an N MOSTR20 is cut off, therefore, power is not consumed, also, deterioration of a speed by an excessive accumulated charge of a base area is not caused, and switching is executed at a high speed in a low load area. |
