The fibres are impregnated with resin and are sandwiched between the layers of wood. - The layers of wood have strips that jut-out longitudinally so that one strip fits in the gaps between the opposite strips. The strips are in a range of heights from the bottom layer. The strips can be trapezoidal with their widths gradually narrowing from their upper faces.
