PURPOSE:To carry out a clear and understandable display of the operating state of the titled burner in an energy-sparing manner by providing a liquid crystal display element, performing a clear display by means of a picture or characters, and automatically carrying out illumination responsive to external light. CONSTITUTION:For example, characters ''under operation'' and the like or a suitable picture is displayed on the liquid crystal display element 3 when the burner 6 is operated. When an extraordinary matter occurs, a combustion control unit 7 checks the extraordinary state, and causes the liquid crystal display element to display in accordance with the extraordinary state to give warning to the operator. Further, at nighttime, when the outside becomes dark, a photosensor 11 detects it and lights up a lamp 9 which illuminates the liquid crystal display element by an illumination controller 10 to clarify the display. Further, when no display is required like in such a case as sleeping, illumination of the lamp 9 is prohibited by a manual switch 12. As a result, a clear and understandable display of the operating state can be carried out in an energy-sparing manner. |
