The present invention relates to emergency-type unfolding waterproof garments which can be carried around the waist. It comprises closure means 1 and 2 which engage with other closure means 3 and 4 when the garment is folded up into a strip. Pockets 9 are located on those parts of the sleeves which, when the garment is attached around the waist, are located on the outside. This makes it possible to have both an emergency-type raincoat and an anti-theft belt. <IMAGE>
