PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device configured to prevent a malfunction due to a fault of communication.SOLUTION: A projector 2 can be connected to an AV amplifier 4 over a communication and includes: a radio communication section 22 which transmits an inquiry command on a status of the AV amplifier 4 and receives a control command; and a control section 21 which analyzes the received control command to extract status information indicating the status of the AV amplifier 4, and controls operation on the basis of the extracted status information. The control section 21 extracts first status information from a first control command when the first control command transmitted by the AV amplifier 4 in response to the transmitted inquiry command is received, and extracts second status information from a second control command when the second control command transmitted by the AV amplifier 4 without depending on transmission of the inquiry command is received. When the two pieces of status information are different from each other as a result of comparison with the first status information, operation is determined, on the basis of the first status information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
