PURPOSE:To convert easily and surely an output into copy data suitable for a black-and white-copying machine by extracting a luminance signal outputted respectively from the 1st and 2nd picture memories via an exclusive OR circuit. CONSTITUTION:Picture information stored in the 1st and 2nd memories 3, 4 is read sequentially and the color display of synthesized picture is conducted on a display 7 via a video signal selecting circuit 5 and a video signal converting circuit 6. On the other hand, an exclusive OR circuit 8 obtains the exclusive OR with respect to luminance signals Y1, Y2 outputted from the memories 3, 4, and supplies its output signal to a copying machine 9 as copy data. Since the parts where the display patterns are overlapped with each other are outputted while signals are inverted, even the picture of the overlapped parts is displayed surely in the black-and white-copy taken from the copying machine 9.
