<p>The dredger forms a bank or gap at least partly underwater, using a pump with suction nozzle drawing in a mixture of sediment and water and delivering it to a dumping point. A mixture of sediment and water is delivered against the bank (10), causing it to flow towards the suction nozzle (3) instead of forming a suspension, and can be tapped off from the pump itself (4), to be discharged just above the bank surface.</p> |
