The contact elements of the contact strip are small sheet-metal strips which are symmetrical with respect to a plane z-z in which they are bent through 180 DEG on themselves, thereby forming a folded edge. The contact surfaces juxtaposed in the plane of the folding join form contact plugs. The contact blades 22a of each pair of contact blades are bent at a mutual distance beyond the plane of folding on folding portions 22o of the small sheet-metal strips. A rational manufacture is thus obtained, the contact elements held together by a lateral edge 22q of the cut-out metal sheet having, between them, a small distance such that they can be inserted in common by a single movement into the passage openings of the body made from synthetic material of the contact strip, which openings are separated by a corresponding distance. <IMAGE>
