In order to avoid a small phase control angle with low power of rotary current motors or in the battery charging device in a train, with a power supply which is intended to process DC and AC voltages of different amplitude and frequency, the electrical apparatuses are connected directly to the part of a voltage stabiliser constituting a current inverter and the said voltage stabiliser is connected to the rotary current motor and to the battery charging device via a controlled rectifier bridge, preferably via a thyristor-controlled bridge in a Graetz circuit.
