PURPOSE:To obtain a table roller having superior resistance to corrosion, wear and seizing by perfectly forming a martensite structure as a surface structure and uniformly precipitating the carbides of V, Cr and Mo in the structure. CONSTITUTION:The base material of a table roller is composed of, by weight, 0.3-0.5% C, 12-14% Cr, 0.3-0.6% V, 0.3-0.6% Mo and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. A surface layer is formed on the surface of the base material by build-up welding. The resulting roller is held at 600-700 deg.C for 5-10hr and slowly cooled to precipitate the carbides of V, Cr and Mo in the structure of the surface layer. |
