PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which is suitable for use in electrical appliances, exhibits an excellent dilution effect and is so volatile that, when deposited on a contact, no diluents are left behind, by using a halogenated hydrocarbon as a diluent. CONSTITUTION:The titled compsn. is obtd. by using a halogenated hydrocarbon such as trichlorotrifluoroethane as a diluent. Usually, dibutyl phthalate, xylene, etc. are used as the diluent for the purpose of lowering the viscosity of epoxy resins to thereby facilitate casting or impregnation. However, when an epoxy resin compsn. contg. these diluents is applied to electrical appliances, there is a possibility that the diluents are volatilized with the lapse of time and deposited on contacts, and contact performance is deteriorated thereby. When the halogenated hydrocarbon is used, an excellent dilution effect can be obtd. and the diluent is so volatile that, even when deposited on the contacts, the diluent is rapidly evaporated and hence the contact performance is not effected.
