PURPOSE:To make the positional adjustment of a steering wheel ever so easy, by attaching the steering wheel to a steering shaft slidably in the axial center direction, and making their axial relative movements performable by means of a shaft driving device. CONSTITUTION:A shaft driving device 3 consisting of a motor 3A and a gear train 3B transmitting turning force of this motor 3A to a shaft member 4 are set up at the inside of a boss part 1A of a steering wheel 1. A steering shaft 5 is made up of installing a spline 5A on one end outer circumference, and this spline 5A is engaged with a spline 1a formed in an inner circumference of the boss part 1A. In addition, a stepped long hole 5B extending in an axial center direction is formed in one end part of a spline shaft 5, a shank 4B of the shaft member 4 is inserted into this long hole 5B, while the external thread part 4C is screwed in the internal thread member 6 locked to a step part of the stepped long hole 5B. |
