PURPOSE:To obtain a picture such as a still picture at high resolution and to reduce the driving power of a solid-stage image pickup element by making a reading time from a solid-state image pickup element to a value being an integral number of (m) times of the rotating time of one rotation of a magnetic recording medium at reproduction and making it an integral number (n) times at recording to the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The video frequency band is narrowered by making the reading time of a video signal photoelectric-transduced at high resolution obtained by the solid-state image pickup element 12 long and this video signal is recorded on a magnetic disc 1, and the high frequency band video image of the solid-state image pickup element is reproduced with fidelity by increasing the rotating speed of the magnetic disc 1 at reproduction. While the magnetic disc 1 is rotated twice in 1/15sec in this way, an odd number field of video information is recorded on one track at one rotation in the 1st 1/30sec and an even number field of video information is recorded on the other track at one rvolution of the next 1/30sec. The recording magnetic disc 1 is rotated at 600rpm at the reproduction and one revolution is 1/60sec in this case. As a result, the recording band is expanded double in this case thereby allowing to obtain a high horizontal resolution picture. |
