PURPOSE:To improve the safety of a liquid burner by causing a member made up from a configuration memory alloy to act on a seismoscope at the time of an abnormally high temperature to extinguish fire. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature in the vicinity of a pendulum base 42 of a fuel tank 14 is below the transformation point of a coil 44, the coil 44 contracts. When the temperature in the vicinity of the pendulum base 42 rises up and exceeds the transformation point, the coil 44 expands. Accordingly, an operation equivalent to that when the pendulum 41 slips off from the pendulum base 42 and falls down, is carried out, and the seismoscope 50 operates. Thus, a wick 1 is accommodated in an opening 5 and a fire extinguishment is performed. Hence, the safety of the burner is improved. |
