PURPOSE:To make it possible to generate electrical power with a simple device, by laying, on the bottom of a river, a cylindrical body incorporated therein with a screw having a rotary shaft arranged in parallel with the stream of water, so that a generator is driven by the rotation of the screw. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical body 1 is laid on the bottom of a fast stream river, and a screw 3 is rotatably supported to the body 1 by means of bearings 2, having its rotary shaft arranged in parallel with the stream of water. Torque from the screw 3 rotated by the stream of water is taken out through a gear train 5 in a gear box 4, and therefore, a generator laid outside of the river is driven. |
