Device for lorries for providing traction assistance for difficult ground conditions, guide rollers (8-15) with a length greater than the width of the tyre or tyres (6) being arranged at a distance from the outer circumference of the tyre (6) and connected to the chassis (1) of the lorry, a tension roller (19) which is adjustable in an approximately vertical and horizontal direction and is pretensioned in a resilient fashion approximately perpendicular to the adjustment line and has the same length as the guide rollers being provided in front of the, in the direction of travel, frontmost roller (15) of these rollers, and it being possible to lay a continuous travel belt (17) over the guide rollers (8-15) and the tension roller (19) and under the tyre (6), it being possible to divide the belt (17) at at least one point on its length and to fix it at both ends in a position above the circumference of the tyre and the tyre (17) being provided with arrangements (25, 26, 28) which increase the sliding friction against the floor and/or the tyre (6). <IMAGE>
