A large-volume container is provided, having removable, collapsible or folding end and side walls or end and side wall regions which can be arranged on the container bottom closely adjacently in the manner of layers. A large-volume container which is known per se can thus be converted from a large-volume position of use into a packaged position of non-use which considerably facilitates empty transportation.
