A temperature measuring device retained in a housing is proposed, in which for the purpose of simple, tight and reliable connection to a line coming from an evaluation and display device the housing, which is constructed as an injection-moulded plastic part, is designed in two parts, in such a way that the temperature sensor held at one end of the one housing part is tightly surrounded by the latter up to the measurement region and is connected to two pin-shaped contact parts held in one housing part, that the other end of the one housing part is constructed as a plug connector which is assigned a plug connector receptacle present at one end of the other housing part which has two bush-shaped contact parts, that the line connected to the evaluation and display device can be led via the other end of the other housing part and connected to the bush-shaped contact parts, that in the region of the plug connector and the plug connector receptacle the two housing parts are provided with latching means for providing a defined connection, and that for the purpose of preventing the ingress of liquid or gaseous medium into the contact zone a sealing means is assigned to the two housing parts in the region of the plug connector and the plug connector receptacle.
