The invention relates to an apparatus for regulating the air intake into a chimney. It essentially consists of a closure flap which is pivotable about a spindle, is provided in the wall of the chimney, and can be actuated in a known manner by the chimney draught. The invention consists in that the flap (3) is inserted into the closure cover (1) of a chimney closure cap (1,2) constructed for the closure of furnace pipe connection openings. <IMAGE>
