<p>PURPOSE:To evade a risk of catching fire as well as to save electricity for a flowmeter having a burning mechanism to burn off attached dirts on a hot-wire. CONSTITUTION:An oil film and other dirts attached on a hot-wire 24 of a hot- wire type air flowmeter 23 are burned off to be removed by added heat of a high voltage electric current on the hot-wire 24 by means of a burning circuit 25 in 1-2sec after engine is stopped, for instance. This flowmeter is provided with an electric current control means 31. This control means 31 is formed in such a way that it stopps to send the currency to the hot-wire if one of the following three conditions is not satisfied, that is, an engine rotation number exceeds a set value, for instance, 1,500rpm during a period from when an ignition switch becomes ON and to when it becomes OFF, or car speed exceeds a set value 20km/h for example during the above period, or a cooling water temperature becomes below a set value, 95 deg.C, for instance. This construction permits to evade a risk to catch fire and save electricity.</p> |
