Rescue elevator for ships

The invention relates to a rescue elevator which can be attached to ships and is intended for saving persons in danger of being drowned. It is intended to enable the person to climb on board with little effort. The elevator consists of a first profiled rail (1 in Fig. 2) which can be attached outboard, a second profiled rail (2) which can be extended to the top and bottom from the first profiled rail (1), and a third profiled rail (3) which can be extended to the top and bottom from the second profiled rail (2). A seat web (7) is arranged on the bottom end of the third profiled rail (3), and a drive (9) for the telescopic extension and retraction of the second and third profiled rails (2, 3) is arranged on the first profiled rail (1). <IMAGE>
