The present invention relates to an electric cooktop having multiple burners. The electric cooktop includes: a switch input unit (100) into which an input signal for each of the burners is input; a control unit (200) which outputs a driving signal for the corresponding burner following the signal of the switch input unit (100); and a burner driving unit (300) which drives each of the burners following the driving signal of the control unit (200). The control unit (200) selects the burner selected for the first time or established as a top priority burner in advance as a top operation priority burner, wherein the driving signal is output to enable the top operation priority burner to keep heating power in accordance with the input signal while the remainder of the maximum power consumption permissible for the entire electric cooktop from which the power consumption consumed by the top operation priority burner is subtracted is distributed to the rest other than the top operation priority burner. |
