A camshaft (1) has cams, especially fuel cams (2), which are fixed on the camshaft (1) by means of a tapered sleeve (7). A pressurised oil duct (10), which opens out between sleeve (7) and tapered bore (6) of the cam (2), is formed in the cam. In order to be able to achieve a largely unlimited axial displacement with simultaneous facility for the tangential adjustment, a through aperture (12) connected to the pressurised oil duct (10) is formed in the sleeve (7), through which aperture the pressurised oil can also pass into the area between sleeve (7) and camshaft (1). <IMAGE>
