A rocker (4) is supported on a housing (1) of the foot starter by means of bearing journals (2, 3) such that it can pivot. One bearing journal (3) has a longitudinal hole (20) as a bushing for a connecting cable (21). This bearing journal (3) which has the longitudinal hole can be firmly connected to the housing (1). Such an arrangement makes it possible to avoid having a separate hole as the cable bushing. <IMAGE>
