The novel formamidocarbamates correspond to the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is <IMAGE>, R2 is <IMAGE> or R4-CH2-CH2-, R3 is hydrogen, <IMAGE> or <IMAGE>, R4 is <IMAGE> or <IMAGE> and R5, R6 and R7, independently of one another, are hydrogen, halogen or C1-C4-alkyl. They are suitable for controlling pests on animals and plants.
