PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of compressor by making a groove at the tip of spiral body of scroll then securing a thin plate to cover said groove thereafter feeding high pressure into the groove to deform the thin plate and sealing the axial gap at the tip of the spiral body tightly. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 6 are made entirely at the tip of a spiral body 5 of a rolling scroll 2 or in a face facing with a fixed scroll and a thin plate 9 is secured to cover said grooves 6. The tip at the high pressure side of the groove 6 is secured to be exposed. Upon operation of scroll, compressed high pressure gas will flow through the tip at the high pressure side of the groove 6 into the groove to push up the thin plate 9 which is deformed and contact against the fixed scroll to seal the gap between both scrolls tightly.
