<p>PURPOSE:To enable to widen a paper sheet containing part and to securely return a paper sheet which is fed reversely, by providing a lower guide plate so that an extension line thereof is positioned above the tip of an upper guide plate, in a typewriter or the like. CONSTITUTION:When supplying a paper sheet, a platen 13 is rotated reversely, and a solenoid 67 is energized to bring a separating roller 34 into contact with the paper sheet 57. Since the roller 34 is brought into contact with the paper sheet 57 only when supplying the latter, in the case of reversely feeding the paper sheet 57, e.g., for printing separately in two columns at left and right parts of the sheet, the sheet can not be erroneously supplied by the reverse rotation of the platen 13. In addition, since the lower guide plate 89 for guiding the paper sheet when supplying the sheet or reversely feeding the sheet is so positioned that the extension line thereof is positioned above the tip of the upper guide plate 88, the paper sheet 91 formed between the plate 89 and the third guide plate 90 is wide, so that when reversely feeding the paper sheet by reversely rotating the platen 13 after printing on the left side is completed, the paper sheet can be securely contained.</p> |
