In a vehicle with a driver's seat which is assigned to its control and operation device and is fixed on a rotary element and can be swivelled with the control and operation device, the installation assembly consisting of driver's seat and control and operation device is to require only a small amount of space during the swivelling movement and, above all, is to satisfy the requirements in small driver's cabs of traction engines, in particular of so-called Rotrucs. For this purpose, there is provision for the rotary element to be connected to a carriage (22) which is displaceable on slider rails (20) and to be coupled eccentrically to a steering arm (30) which has a fixed joint (33) at the other end. In this arrangement, the rotary element is to consist of a carriage plate (23) with carriage arm (24) protruding therefrom and the steering arm (30), which is U-shaped in plan view - is to have two bearing legs (31, 32) which are connected by means of a central web (35) which is eccentric with respect to the centre of the plate. <IMAGE>
