PURPOSE:To prevent fluid in a fluid path from leaking to outside along a valve shaft by a method wherein a diaphragm, isolating the fluid path from the valve shaft, is provided in a valve box. CONSTITUTION:When the valve shaft 10 is moved axially, the diaphragm 14 is displaced into the direction of the thickness thereof, a valve body 9 advances or retreats into the directions to contact with or separate from a valve seat 5 and the area of open path of the fluid path 4 is changed to regulate the flow amount of the valve. The fluid path 4 is isolated from the penetrating part 12 of the shaft by the diaphragm 14, therefore, a part of the fluid in the fluid path 4 will never leak to the outside of the valve box 1 along the valve shaft 10. Further, complicated pleats, like as the case of a bellows, are not existing on the diaphragm 14, therefore, impurities in the fluid will never remain in the valve box 1 in a condition that it is hard to clean them. Accordingly, maintenance and inspection may be effected safely even in case the valve is utilized for the regulation of the fluid including radioactive substances. |
