PURPOSE:To permit to attach and detach the seal mechanism in split condition when the rotary shaft system is being installed by a method wherein a rotary ring and a stationary ring are formed by a plurality of split members. CONSTITUTION:The rotary ring is consisting of split members 20a, 20b split into two pieces in the circumferential direction thereof and respective split surfaces of the split members are provided with flanges 21a, 21b at respective outsides thereof to connect splitably by clamping with bolts and nuts 23. The stationary ring is consisting also of two pieces of split members 30a, 30b split into the circumferential direction thereof and respective split surfaces of these members are provided with the flanges 31a, 31b to connect them splitably by clamping with the bolts and nuts 23. Both of the rings may be removed from the rotary shaft 1 very easily by removing pins 22, bolts and nuts 23 sequentially. |
