PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity to light long in wavelength, and chemical stability by incorporating a photochemical cross-linking agent and a sensitizer in a specified copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material is composed essentially of a copolymer of N-vinylcarbazole and 9-(p-vinylphenyl)anthracene, and further contains cyclic cis-alpha-dicarbonyl compd. I as a cross-linking agent in this copolymer, and one of acridine orange, thioflavin, and Michler's ketone, having the max. absorption longer in wavelength than that of said compd. I as a sensitizer for promoting the cross-linking reaction. As a result, a hologram is recorded by cross-linking the parts irradiated with laser beams to render their refractive indices different from those of the nonirradiated parts. The comps. I is such as 2,3-bornadione or 3-methyl-1,2-cyclopentadione. A preferable amt. of cross-linking agent to be added is about 5-50wt% of the total wt. of the copolymer, and that of sensitizer is 1-50wt% of it. |
