<p>The invention relates to a weapon support turret comprising an armoured carapace (1) mounted rotatably about a vertical axis, an oscillating part mounted rotatably about a horizontal axis (12) on the carapace (1) and means for orienting the carapace (1) about its vertical axis for azimuth aiming and of the oscillating part about its horizontal axis for elevation aiming. According to the invention, the oscillating part comprises, on at least one side of the carapace (1) a pivot-forming support piece (2) mounted rotatably on the carapace (1) about the horizontal axis (12) and connected kinematically, comprising an elevation orientation box (3), a weapon support (3) fastened to the end of an arm (31) mounted in an articulated manner on the pivot (2) about an axis (30) located above the elevation orientation axis (12) and directed perpendicularly to this, and a means (4) for tilting the weapon support arm (31) about its axis (30) of articulation on the pivot (2) between a low position of rest, in which the weapon (3) is laid against the carapace (1), and a high firing position, in which the weapon (3) is apart from the carapace (1) and free to rotate with the pivot (2) under the action of the means (17) for the orientation of the oscillating part. <IMAGE></p> |
