PURPOSE:To measure the average opening sensitivity shape of many picture elements arrayed on a photodetecting surface of an image pickup element for a short time by enabling an opening sensitivity shape curve to be directly observed on a display surface. CONSTITUTION:A light pattern is projected and formed an image on the photodetecting surface of an image pickup element 23 to be measured as a photoelectric conversion element through a lens system 22. A signal outputted from the image pickup element to be measured is amplified by an amplifier 26 and guided to a sample holding circuit 27. The amplified signal is sampled by a pulse from a sample pulse generator 28. The sampling phase is controlled by a synchronizing signal generating circuit 24 and an element driving circuit 25 and a photoelectric conversion output signal from a picture element irradiated by the light pattern is properly sampled and held. An output signal from the sample holding circuit 27 is supplied to a vertical input terminal of an oscilloscope 29 and a signal from the synchronizing signal generating circuit 24 is supplied to a horizontal input terminal to execute horizontal sweeping, so that the opening sensitivity shape can be displayed and directly observed. |
