PURPOSE:To reduce the expenses required to humidify air to be fed to a blast furnace by using steam generated from a cooling body for cooling the wall of the furnace to regulate the moisture content of air to be fed to the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A steam circuit 10 is installed between a steam-water separating drum 9-2 in a blast furnace cooling system 9 and a blast pipe 3 in a blast system, and steam separated in the drum 9-2 is fed to the pipe 3 to regulate the moisture content of air. Humidification is controlled with the circuit 10. Steam generated from a cooling body 9-1 is pressurized to a value above the blast pressure with a pressure regulating valve 11, and it is blown into the pipe 3 by opening a valve 12 through a moisture content regulator 5. When the volume of steam generated from the cooling body 9-1 is not enough, steam is supplied from a steam circuit 7. |
