PURPOSE:To attain the automatic operation for the manual program patch and the restoring work of a normal program at a patch part by replacing a patch address instruction with a jump instruction. CONSTITUTION:An instruction word-byte number table in a memory 3 is searched to obtain the number of bytes of a read instruction 1. This byte number is added to a total byte number area. This total byte number is compared with the byte number of a jump instruction. When the total byte number exceeds the byte number of a jump instruction with repetition of above-mentioned comparison, the instruction read out of a memory 12 is stored in the memory 3. Then the instruction of a patch address is replaced with a jump instruction. Then an additional program stored in the memory 3 is loaded to a patch area of an idle area of a memory 12 and applied with a patch. Then the instruction stored temporarily in the memory 3 is restored, and the jump instruction which defines the address of the instruction of the original program as the jump destination is added after the restored program. Thus the operation is through with an inserted patch. |
