PURPOSE:To reduce the surface defects of an Fe-Cr-Co magnet alloy and to improve the appearance and yield by controlling the amount of Al to be added as a deoxidizer to the alloy melted in the air. CONSTITUTION:An Fe-Cr-Co magnet alloy is melted in the air, and the molten alloy is deoxidized by adding Al to prevent the formation of metallic oxdies. At this time, the amount of Al to be added is restricted to <=0.02% so as to reduce surface defects caused by adding Al. Thus, the appearance and yield are improved. |
