PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which enables alumite treatment free from an electrolytic burning by the constitution in which an electric power source between the anode terminal in an anode cell for applying a positive potential on thin Al foil and plural cathode plates in a cathode cell is provided independently for each of the cathode plates. CONSTITUTION:A continuous alumite treating device to be used exclusively for thin Al foil accomplishes electrolysis between the Al foil 3 passing in a cathode cell 4 and plural cathode plates 51-53 applying a positive potential on the foil 3 through the anode terminal 2 in an anode cell 1 on the let-off side of the Al foil and applying a negative potential on the plates 51, 52, 53 provided successively in the cathode cell 4 on the take-up side of the Al foil. An electric power source 6 between the terminal 2 and the plates 51-53 in such alumite treating device is provided independently to each of the plates 51, 52, 53. The current density and the electrolyte are thus controlled for each of independently provided cathode cells 41, 42, 43 and the alumite treatment is efficiently accomplished without formation of an electrolytic burning.
