PURPOSE:To ensure the use of a parity RAM with high efficiency by using one common RAM which stores the parity bits for parity check. CONSTITUTION:Static RAMs 1-4 store data, and the writing and reading are performed for these RAMs by applying signals to write and read lines W and R, respectively. A parity generator 5 produces the parity to data of RAMs 1-4 respectively. A parity RAM 7 stores the parity bits to these RAMs 1-4 for data in a prescribed order. Each parity bit read out of the RAM 7 is stored temporarily in a parity bit holding register 8. |
